  • AFSCME International Convention Delegate Nominations and Elections AFSCME International Convention Delegates - The AFSCME International Convention takes place biennially in even numbered years. The Delegate Assembly of the International Convention votes on matters brought before them along with other nominated representatives selected from their Locals. The 42nd AFSCME International Convention is being held in Las Vegas. The Convention begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016, and will remain in session until Friday, July 22, 2016, unless the business of the Convention is completed sooner. A Delegate must be a member in good standing of the local. Local 10 has five (5) delegate seats available.Note: Travel expenses for Council and Convention delegates are paid for by the Union, however attendance is on your ...

  • NVLF Summit North Valley Labor Federation (NVLF) Public Employee Union Organizing Summit was held on a rainy Saturday in Merced.  AFSCME Local 10 leaders, AFSCME Council 57 staff and other union brothers and sisters heard from Steve Smith, Communications director of the California Labor Federation and Fred Ross Jr. of IBEW 1245 on topics such communication strategies threats to the labor movement, building power through organizing, and fighting for working families.
